Located next door to Holland and Barret, The Talk Shop is where residents, workers, businesses, community groups, students and visitors can share their views on how Hamilton Town Centre should change.

It will host consultation workshops where attendees will be invited to immerse themselves in the Pride in Place consultation.

They will be able to participate in an interactive version of the survey, which includes rating scales to show how attendees feel about aspects of Hamilton Town Centre, heat map spotting areas that feel unsafe, and, through open discussion, share thoughts and suggestions to improve Hamilton though the lens of Place, Offering, Community, Wellbeing, Education, Businesses and Safety.

The Talk Shop also gives people a place to drop in, ask questions and complete the Pride in Place survey.

Hamilton Town Centre will receive up to £20 million from the UK Government over 10 years through the Pride in Place programme. What people say at The Talk Shop will help shape the town centre's 10-year vision and investment plan.

Ronnie Smith, Independent Chair of the Hamilton Town Centre Board, said: "The Pride in Place Programme is community-led – local people will decide how the money is spent. The Talk Shop gives everyone a place to come in, have their say and see how their ideas are shaping the plan.”

Imogen Walker, MP for Hamilton and Clyde Valley said: “The Talk Shop brings the Pride in Place programme right into the town centre, where people can easily find out more and get involved. With £20 million of UK Government funding to invest in Hamilton over the next ten years, I hope as many people as possible will use the space and contribute to the plans for the town’s future.”
